Madison Nichols – Girls Academy Champions Cup Standout – Dec 2022

The Girls Academy League Champions Cup winter event concluded December 5, as teams from around the country traveled to Mesa, Arizona to compete against the top 16 teams and clubs in the country. There were plenty of teams vying for attention with scores of college coaches and scouts on hand. Throughout the games at Bell Bank Sports Complex, top players began to emerge from the field putting on convincing performances in the 2005 age group.

TopDrawerSoccer highlighted Madison Nichols in their article as an individual standout in the games. With Tophat facing three undefeated conference leading GA teams in the Champions Cup matchups, Nichols was a standout in the midfield for Tophat recording three assists and a goal in three games on the weekend. Nichols consistently erased defenders creating quality chances. She then both scored a goal from a corner kick and assisted a goal from a corner kick in the Sunday game to defeat powerhouse and #8 nationally ranked Oakwood SC.

Madison is ranked in the top 150 club players in the country and trains and plays with Tophat Soccer in Atlanta, Georgia as a member of the #11 ranked team in the country with the #1 soccer club in the US. Madison also plays in the United Soccer League (USL-W) with Southern Soccer Academy Royals.
