Cold fall air did not stop the heat on the soccer fields over the weekend. Nearly every conference in the national club soccer leagues was in action. There was a matchup between two of the top sides in the Mid-Atlantic. There is a new leader in the Southeast Conference. The Southwest had a battle of a giant versus an upstart.

For this past weekend, there were plenty of standouts from the games. TopDrawerSoccer highlights the individual standouts from the games in their article.

The Tophat u17 GA Gold side defeated two Atlanta area teams – Southern Soccer Academy and AFC Lighting – in Girls Academy Southeast conference play. Madison Nichols was a standout in the midfield scoring a goal and contributing two assists on the weekend.

Anna Weir scored three goals and two assists in the two wins. Tatum Ahlemeyer and Katie Jamison each scored twice. Millika McLeod and Hannah Faklaris, also scored a goal. Reese Black contributed with three assists in the two matches and Jenna Sapong recorded a shutout in goal on Saturday and conceded just one goal on Sunday.

Madison is ranked in the top 150 club players in the country and trains and plays with Tophat Soccer in Atlanta, Georgia as a member of the #11 ranked team in the country with the #1 soccer club in the US. Madison also plays in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) with MOBA Peachtree City.
