The first weekend of October featured a number of marquee games in the various leagues. There were standouts from the ECNL, Girls Academy, MLS Next, Boys ECNL, and more. TopDrawerSoccer highlights the standouts from the games in their article. Madison Nichols scored a goal on the weekend against two Florida teams – IMG Academy and West Florida Flames.
Madison’s goal came in the 24th minute of the West Florida game from a run down the left side. Anna Weir launched a cross from the right side to just inside the 18 and Madison headed a missile into the right corner of the net just beyond the reach of the diving keeper. Madison is ranked in the top 150 club players in the country and trains and plays with Tophat Soccer in Atlanta, Georgia as a member of the #11 ranked team in the country with the #1 soccer club in the US. Madison also plays in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) with MOBA Peachtree City.
