Many of the top club teams look considerably different than they did six months ago. The TopDrawerSoccer TeamRank, presented by Soccer Masters, takes a new look at the U18/19, U17, and U16 age groups in girls club soccer for the new update in the May edition to the club soccer team rankings.
Making the biggest jump in the new rankings is Tophat U16 GA Gold following a strong showing in the April Girls Academy Florida showcase. Facing 3 of the top teams in the country in the showcase, Tophat defeated FC Bay Area 3-0 and played to a 1-1 draw with #23 FC Virginia and a 3-3 draw with #5 SC Wave.
Tophat’s improvement of 16 spots landed the team at #11 in the rankings as they head into the Girls Academy national playoffs in Oceanside, California in June. Check out the full rankings for the U16 age group.
