Monday was the end of the Girls Academy Event in Florida for half of the teams. The 04 and 05 groups were in action on the day. There were a number of high quality games despite some adverse weather conditions.
Tophat 05 played to a 3-3 draw with top 5 opponent SC Wave. IMG Academy 04 captured a 1-0 victory over Houston Dash in an early game, which helped IMG claim the top spot in the Showcase 2 Bracket after an undefeated showing at the event. Lonestar SC 05 had an impressive win over Lamorinda SC in the Showcase 1 Bracket B action.

Madison Nichols assisted the opening score for Tophat when her throughball found Layla Sirdah running on who hammered it home. Madison performed well making quality passes and throughballs from the midfield throughout the game against top 5 opponent SC Wave which resulted in a 3-3 draw.
