The Girls Academy League has only completed the first few weeks of its inaugural season, but some favorites are starting to emerge from the competition. The final weekend of September featured some games between top teams including the IMG vs. Weston FC and Tophat vs. United Soccer Alliance. Check out some of the individual standouts from the games below.
TopDrawerSoccer highlights the individual standouts from the games played on September 26-27, 2020 in their article: “Layla Sirdah scored six goals in Tophat’s two wins over the weekend. Anna Weir scored five goals and added an assist. Madison Nichols scored a goal and had two assists. Millika McLeod and Tatum Ahlemeyer contributed to the attack by each scoring goals. Jenna Sapong recorded two shutouts. Reese Black scored two goals and had two assists in Saturday’s win over West Florida Flames.” Madison Nichols’ goal in the Sunday match for Tophat was scored off a a great cross played in by Anna Weir.
